HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace
>in the Registry. Below that, there should be a key called {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}. Just delete this, and after a restart, Windows will no longer check for scheduled tasks - major performance improvement!

Righ click go to Properties and in startup type select "DISABLE"

Reset TCP/IP
Remember to always back up you registry before editing it.
This only works in XP:

Step 1: Delete registry keys

A) Click on start then run and type "regedit" (without quotes)
B) Navigate to the registry entries below and delete them:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock and
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2
C) Restart the computer

NOTE: It is important to restart the computer after deleting the Winsock keys.
Doing so causes the XP operating system to recreate shell entries for those two keys. If this is not done, the next step does not work correctly.

Step 2: Install TCP/IP on top of itself

A) Open the properties window of the network connection
B) Click Install
C) Click Protocol, then Add
D) Click Have Disk
E) Type the path to the nettcpip.inf file, for example: c:\windows\inf, and click OK.
F) You should now see "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" in the list of available protocols. Select it and click OK.
G) Click the close button when it appears.
G) Restart the computer

Clean up Printer Drivers
Printers & Faxes > File > Server Properties > Drivers Tab (delete those not being used or causing problems.)
